What Idaho law says
| Late fees | No numeric cap or grace period. All fees, including late fees, must be reasonable and may not exceed the amount stated in the rental agreement; a fee not in a written agreement can be added only with 30 days' written notice. Source: Idaho Code § 55-305 |
|---|---|
| Notice for unpaid rent | 3 days' written notice demanding payment of the amount due or possession. The notice must state the amount due and the tenant's post-judgment removal period (72 hours for residential tenants). Notice may be served within one year after rent is due.
