Louisiana Late Rent Notice
A free Louisiana late rent notice that follows Louisiana law. Fill in the boxes, check the rules below, then print or copy it. Keep a copy and proof of how you sent it.
What Louisiana law says
| Late fees | No statutory cap. A late fee can be charged only if the lease or an oral agreement provides for it. Source: No statute; AG tenant guide |
|---|---|
| Notice for unpaid rent | Written notice to vacate giving at least 5 days from delivery. Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays are not counted in a period this short, so in practice the tenant gets 5 business days. The lease may waive the notice, and many standard leases do. |
