Missouri Notice to End a Month-to-Month Tenancy Template

What a Missouri notice to end a month-to-month tenancy must include under Missouri law, and a fill-in draft that follows those rules.

What Missouri law requires

Must be in writing and state that the month-to-month tenancy will end on a periodic rent-paying date at least one month after the other party receives the notice. Either landlord or tenant may give it. Mobile-home owners renting a lot get at least 60 days from the next rent due date. The statute does not prescribe a delivery method.

Proving receipt matters because the period runs from receipt.

Fill-in draft

Replace every [bracketed] item. If your state or city requires specific wording, a specific form, or a translated version, that requirement controls over this draft. Courts dismiss eviction cases over defective notices — if anything is unclear, talk to a lawyer.
