Vehicle Bill of Sale in Nevada

A record of a private car, truck or motorcycle sale between a seller and a buyer. Many states transfer ownership through the signed title itself and use a bill of sale as proof of the price and date. Check your state's rules below: some require a specific DMV form or a notary.

What Nevada law says

Selling a vehicle: bill of sale and titleThe seller signs the title over to the buyer; if the title lists owners joined by 'AND,' both must sign, and if joined by 'OR,' either may sign. The seller enters the odometer reading for model year 2011 and newer vehicles, completes a Bill of Sale (form VP-104) for their records, keeps the license plates, and submits a Registration Cancelation and Vehicle Resale Notification through the MyDMV portal.
