New Hampshire Security Deposit Itemization Letter Template
What a New Hampshire security deposit itemization letter must include under New Hampshire law, and a fill-in draft that follows those rules.
What New Hampshire law requires
Within 30 days after the tenancy ends, the landlord must return the deposit plus any interest due, less lawful deductions. For damage beyond reasonable wear and tear, the landlord must give a written, itemized list describing with particularity each repair needed, with satisfactory evidence the repair has been or will be done (such as receipts, labor estimates, bills or invoices). For unpaid rent, tax-escalation shares or other lawful charges, the itemized list must state the period each claim covers.

Fill-in draft
Replace every [bracketed] item. If your state or city requires specific wording, a specific form, or a translated version, that requirement controls over this draft. Courts dismiss eviction cases over defective notices — if anything is unclear, talk to a lawyer.
