What North Dakota law says

Notice before a rent increaseMonth-to-month: the landlord may change the terms, including rent, with written notice at least 30 days before the end of the month. The change takes effect at the end of that month, and the tenant may move out at month's end by giving at least 25 days' notice. No statute requires longer notice for large increases. For a fixed-term lease, rent changes at renewal; if the lease renews automatically, the landlord must give a written reminder of the renewal clause at least 30 days before it expires.
Rent control / increase limitsStatewide preemption: political subdivisions may not enact, maintain, or enforce rent control on private residential or commercial property.
