Pennsylvania Rent Increase Notice
A free Pennsylvania rent increase notice that follows Pennsylvania law. Fill in the boxes, check the rules below, then print or copy it. Keep a copy and proof of how you sent it.
What Pennsylvania law says
| Notice before a rent increase | No statute — Pennsylvania sets no notice period or cap for rent increases. A landlord raises rent at the end of the term or by ending a month-to-month tenancy; the notice to quit at term end is 15 days for leases of 1 year or less or of indefinite length, and 30 days for leases over 1 year, unless the lease says otherwise. |
|---|---|
| Rent control / increase limits | No statewide rent control or rent-increase cap, and no statute that expressly bans local rent control. No statute authorizes it either, and home-rule municipalities may not set duties or requirements for businesses unless a statewide statute expressly allows it, so a local rent cap would face a serious legal challenge. |
