South Carolina Notice to End a Month-to-Month Tenancy Template

What a South Carolina notice to end a month-to-month tenancy must include under South Carolina law, and a fill-in draft that follows those rules.

What South Carolina law requires

Written notice given at least 30 days before the termination date stated in the notice (month-to-month) or 7 days (week-to-week), by either party. No required wording or reason. Delivery to a tenant: in hand, or registered/certified mail to the address the tenant designated or last known residence (proof of mailing suffices).

Fill-in draft

Replace every [bracketed] item. If your state or city requires specific wording, a specific form, or a translated version, that requirement controls over this draft. Courts dismiss eviction cases over defective notices — if anything is unclear, talk to a lawyer.
