Credit Report Dispute Letter in Virginia
Dispute an error on your credit report with a credit bureau. Under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. § 1681i), the bureau generally must investigate and correct or delete information it cannot verify. Attach copies of proof, not originals.
What Virginia law says
| Medical debt protections | Suits to collect medical debt owed directly to a health care provider must be filed within 3 years of the due date of the final invoice (or within 3 years of a breach of a payment plan). This does not apply to services paid through Department of Medical Assistance Services programs. Source: Va. Code 8.01-246(B) |
