What West Virginia law says

Notice before a rent increaseNo statute — West Virginia sets no rent-increase notice requirement; the lease governs. A periodic tenancy (e.g., month-to-month) can be ended by written notice of one full period before the end of a period (year-to-year: 3 months before the end of the year), unless the lease fixes another notice period.
Rent control / increase limitsNo state rent control law. No enacted statewide preemption of local rent control was found in the code.
