What Alaska law says
| Notice before a rent increase | With no lease, the landlord may raise rent by any amount, but must give at least 30 days' notice before the increase takes effect in a month-to-month tenancy. During a fixed-term lease, rent cannot be raised unless the lease allows it. A rent increase can count as illegal retaliation unless the landlord shows a good-faith reason. |
|---|---|
| Rent control / increase limits | No statewide rent control. Without a lease, a landlord may raise rent by any amount on at least 30 days' notice for a month-to-month tenancy. |
