Warranty Deed in Arkansas
A warranty deed transfers real estate with the seller's promise that the title is good. Before you record it, check your state's signing and recording rules below and your county recorder's formatting rules (margins, preparer and return-address blocks, transfer-tax forms) — recorders reject deeds that miss them.
What Arkansas law says
| Signing and recording a deed | A deed conveying Arkansas real estate may be signed in the presence of two disinterested witnesses, or the grantor may acknowledge it in the presence of two such witnesses, who then sign it. If the witnesses sign later than the signing, the date they sign must be stated with their signatures. Read on codes.findlaw.com (a public copy of the official code); check against the official code.
