What a Louisiana notice to end a month-to-month tenancy must include under Louisiana law, and a fill-in draft that follows those rules.

What Louisiana law requires
A month-to-month lease is ended by notice given at least 10 calendar days before the end of the month; it ends at the end of the period stated (or the first period for which notice is timely). Weekly-to-under-monthly terms: 5 calendar days; terms longer than a month: 30 calendar days. For a lease with no definite term, this termination notice also serves as the C.C.P. art. 4701 notice to vacate, which must be written and delivered to the tenant. For fixed-term leases, a notice to vacate may be given no more than 30 days before the term expires.

Fill-in draft
Replace every [bracketed] item. If your state or city requires specific wording, a specific form, or a translated version, that requirement controls over this draft. Courts dismiss eviction cases over defective notices — if anything is unclear, talk to a lawyer.
