Oregon Security Deposit Itemization Letter Template
What a Oregon security deposit itemization letter must include under Oregon law, and a fill-in draft that follows those rules.
Use the official form if there is one
What Oregon law requires
Within 31 days after the tenancy ends and possession is delivered, the landlord must give a written accounting stating specifically the basis or bases of any claim, with separate accountings for the security deposit and for prepaid rent, and return any unclaimed balance. Delivery by personal delivery or first-class mail, or by email if permitted under an ORS 90.155(1)(d) addendum; refund may be made electronically if agreed in an addendum after move-in. Failure or bad-faith withholding: twice the amount withheld.

Fill-in draft
Replace every [bracketed] item. If your state or city requires specific wording, a specific form, or a translated version, that requirement controls over this draft. Courts dismiss eviction cases over defective notices — if anything is unclear, talk to a lawyer.
