Wyoming Security Deposit Itemization Letter Template
What a Wyoming security deposit itemization letter must include under Wyoming law, and a fill-in draft that follows those rules.
What Wyoming law requires
Landlord must deliver or mail the deposit balance and prepaid rent, without interest, with a written itemization of any deductions and the reasons, within 30 days after the rental agreement ends or 15 days after receiving the renter's new mailing address, whichever is later (extended 30 days if there is damage). Deductions allowed: accrued rent, damage beyond reasonable wear and tear, cleaning to move-in condition, and other contract costs. Separate utilities deposits have their own 10/45/15/7-day timeline. Unreasonable failure to comply: renter recovers the full deposit and court costs.

Fill-in draft
Replace every [bracketed] item. If your state or city requires specific wording, a specific form, or a translated version, that requirement controls over this draft. Courts dismiss eviction cases over defective notices — if anything is unclear, talk to a lawyer.
